Childhelp

Prevention and Treatment of Child Abuse

Republic Home Builders has been involved with Childhelp for the past several years. Childhelp is a US non-profit organization, dedicated to the prevention and treatment of child abuse. Founded in 1959 as International Orphans, Inc. by Sara O'Meara and Yvonne Fedderson, Childhelp is one of the largest non-profit child abuse prevention and treatment organizations in the nation.

They have a lovely 270-acre horse farm campus located in Culpepper, VA. The Children live in separate home-like cottages based on gender and age and ride bikes to all their daily activities (including meals).

Childhelp aims not only to address the immediate consequences of child abuse, but also to create a foundation for long-term healing and prevention. By breaking the cycle of abuse, Childhelp strives to empower children and families to lead healthier, more secure lives.

50 Bikes Donated to Childhelp Each Christmas

Republic Home Builders donates over 50 bikes to Childhelp each Christmas and participates in an Angel Tree program to ensure every child receives a gift that they want on Christmas morning. Republic Home Builders is very committed to supporting this wonderful organization.
